Wax seals have long been admired for their exquisite beauty, but shouldn't they hold something more profound? That's my belief.
Seals should be imbued with a deeper symbolic meaning, one that conveys the writer's intent and sparks a touch of magic for both sender and receiver. Imagine sealing a letter and forging a special bond with every drop of wax.
As guests interact with the wedding party, their first encounter is often through a wax seal. It's more than just a decorative flourish; it offers a sneak peek into what lies ahead—not just for the event itself, but for the couple's future journey together.
Here's an intriguing twist: despite the traditional association of weddings with floral motifs, the most sought-after wedding seals I've crafted feature none other than horses. Surprising, isn't it?
To me, horses have always symbolized freedom, adventure, and intuition—the very essence of passion. And in my upcoming July collections, horse symbolism will take center stage, encapsulated in the powerful concept of "passion" that encompasses all these profound meanings.
In essence, horses symbolize the intuition to wholeheartedly pursue our passions, the freedom to explore and embrace them, and the exhilarating journey of a life lived with unbridled passion. What a captivating symbol to mark the beginning of a new chapter in one's life!

With every couple, I have the pleasure of crafting a distinctive design featuring the horse seals. Each love story inspires a unique creation; so even if I use the same seal, the end results are always unique. Let me share my two favorite examples:
Working with Every Little Something, I was told the bride's favorite color was "rainbow." We carefully curated an array of captivating colors, blending them harmoniously to form rainbow seals. The result? A mesmerizing tapestry of hues that reflects her joyful spirit and added a touch of enchantment to their wedding correspondence.
Another seal that I'll never forget was for a bride's father who had recently passed. To honor his enduring memory and boundless love, we gently encased delicate forget-me-not flowers in each seal, symbolic of remembrance and everlasting affection. These tiny blooms serve as a constant reminder of her father's presence and lend a tender touch to the couple's wedding journey.

Je suis libre
A spirited horse dances across the surface, its rider trailing behind. Above, the words "Je suis libre" (I am free) adorn the scene. This cheeky seal speaks from the horse's perspective. It has thrown off its rider and embraced liberation. Bravo!
It serves as a vivid reminder that sometimes, the pursuit of freedom requires shedding the burdens that bind us.
Sometimes I make lists of all the things I don't want in life to be more clear about what I do want. A few examples:
- I don't want to have to be at a computer for 40+ hours/week
- I don't want to miss my children's childhoods
- I don't want to not have time for my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being.
By listening the "don't wants," it becomes more clear which burdens might needs some shedding.
This week, I invite you to contemplate this seal. It whispers of the untamed spirit within us all, urging us to cast off the constraints that confine us and embark on a journey of self-discovery and unrestrained possibility.
Featured Wax Color - Petit Roi
The name "Petite Roi" translates to "little king" in French, symbolizing the regal and powerful impact that even the smallest details can have. It's both elegant and whimsical.
A Blessing by James Wright
Just off the highway to Rochester, Minnesota,
Twilight bounds softly forth on the grass.
And the eyes of those two Indian ponies
Darken with kindness.
They have come gladly out of the willows
To welcome my friend and me.
We step over the barbed wire into the pasture
Where they have been grazing all day, alone.
They ripple tensely, they can hardly contain their happiness
That we have come.
They bow shyly as wet swans. They love each other.
There is no loneliness like theirs.
At home once more,
They begin munching the young tufts of spring in the darkness.
I would like to hold the slenderer one in my arms,
For she has walked over to me
And nuzzled my left hand.
She is black and white,
Her mane falls wild on her forehead,
And the light breeze moves me to caress her long ear
That is delicate as the skin over a girl’s wrist.
Suddenly I realize
That if I stepped out of my body I would break
Into blossom.
