| THE EPISTOLARIAN |
In just a few weeks, I’ll be gathering a small circle in New York for the NYC Spring Gathering, an intimate two-day workshop devoted to renewal, beauty, and the enduring ritual of wax seals. We’ll meet Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21, 2026, in a sunlit Tribeca loft.
This is not a huge event. It’s designed for people who want to slow down, work with their hands, and be in meaningful conversation with other kindred spirits.
I’ve noticed a pattern in my work over the years. The first time I offer something new, a retreat, a course, a seal, it begins quietly. Then, over time, it takes hold. My first retreat in Ireland was small. The first edition Étui was released without much fanfare. Both developed a momentum that surprised even me, eventually becoming things people plan around, wait for, and hope not to miss.
This New York gathering is at that early moment. This year, it will likely be quite small. In the years ahead, it will become an annual salon, capped, intimate, and shaped by the friendships that return to it year after year. A weekend in the city that people look forward to, mark their calendars for, and build into their spring.
We begin Friday at noon with teatime, a threshold into the weekend. We’ll settle in together, sip something lovely, and allow the nervous system to exhale. The afternoon unfolds into a hands-on wax seal workshop, where I’ll guide you through the fine art and deep meaning of seals, drawing from centuries of tradition and my own collector’s archive of antique and modern seals. You’ll learn how to make seals, but more importantly, how to read them, feel them, and use them with intention.

Saturday is a full day of immersion. Breakfast pastries, lunch, and generous afternoon snacks are included so nothing interrupts the flow of making and conversation. You’ll leave with new skills, deeper confidence in your creative voice, and a renewed relationship to ritual.
This gathering is intimate by design, with space to form real friendships. Many people leave with connections that last well beyond the weekend.
Expect to feel restored and inspired. Expect to fall in love, or fall back in love, with the ancient and deeply personal art of wax seals.
If you’ve been craving beauty that is lived rather than outlived, and time that feels soulful rather than rushed, this weekend is for you.
Spaces are limited, and once the circle is full, it’s closed. I would love to welcome you.

7 Available Now
I’ve been getting many questions about when the Helix Edition would be restocked. While I am only making 249 in total, I’m releasing them in small groups as each one is finished. At the moment, I have seven available that are ready to ship this week. Up until now, collectors have typically had to wait several weeks. If you’ve been waiting to invest in one, this is a rare moment when they’re immediately available.
Each edition feels different. While the Helix Edition carries a sense of timelessness and permanence, it feels lighter and more uplifting than the first edition. It includes three pennies, each with a double-sided motif.

Penny One
Heads
Three bound keys symbolize thresholds, stewardship, and trust. Together they suggest that intellect, intuition, and devotion must act in harmony. Claves intus sunt, the keys are within.
Tails
An oak tree, rooted and enduring. A symbol of slow growth and steadfast continuity. Cresce non cambia, it grows, it does not change.
Penny Two, The Claire Penny
Inspired by a beloved patron’s wish for a pairing of a bee and a flower.
Heads
A bee, symbol of devotion, order, and the transformation of effort into sustenance. Ex pulchritudine vita, from beauty, life.
Tails
Lily of the valley, a flower of humility, renewal, and returning joy. Delicate, resilient, and faithful in its bloom. Return to happiness.
Penny Three
Heads
Verba mea fiunt, my words become. A seal without imagery, emphasizing language as action and intention made visible.
Tails
A greyhound carrying a sealed letter, symbol of fidelity, trust, and swift devotion. What is precious is delivered with care.
A Sensual Letter
On Friday, I debuted two new seals in the Floriography collection, both dedicated to the jasmine flower. Jasmine has long carried the symbolism of love and beauty, but with this release I am more drawn to its sensuality, the invitation to incorporate more attention and presence into our days.
A simple ritual: set aside twenty minutes, close the door, and sit at a table with paper and a pen, keeping the room warm. Before writing, note three physical sensations, the temperature of the room, the weight of the pen, the feel of the paper. Write to a friend that you'd like to be with you. Write as if you're inviting them into the room and all of the feelings. Describe only what you can observe, light, sound, the way time feels this time of year. Halfway through, write one line answering the question, what am I tending right now? After finishing the letter, reflect on how you feel and notice anything that may have shifted. Feel free to send or not. You'll know what's right after this exercise.

Color of the Week: Diana
Named after the goddess who was revered for her skill, determination, and connection to nature, Diana represents the power of the natural world and the courage to pursue one's passions. Sealing your letters with Diana is a symbol of your own strength and resilience, and your appreciation for the beauty and mystery of the wild.
