A small flock from Versailles arrives for the holidays in this limited edition seal. The Three French Hens appear as decadent members of Marie Antoinette’s court, each one dressed in lavish eighteenth century finery.
Their poses echo the classical Three Graces, that timeless trio of brightfulness, joyfulness and bloom. Here, the Graces take a more whimsical form, rendered as elegant hens who carry their own symbols of celebration. One holds a delicate fan (beauty). Another raises a champagne flute (mirth). The third carries a slice of cake (abundance).
This seal is part of a very limited holiday release to celebrate the third day of Christmas.
