I have loved orchids for as long as I can remember. My grandparents kept nearly a hundred cymbidiums in their greenhouse, and when a bloom faded, they simply went to choose another, so that most rooms in their house always held an orchid in flower. This seal features a moth orchid, a variety long associated with grace and poise, whose arching stem and floating blossoms seem to hover rather than grow. Over time, orchids came to symbolize for me an air of femininity, sophistication, and elevation, their blossoms lifted high, quietly observing from above. Across history, this refinement has echoed globally, from ancient associations with vitality and fertility, to East Asian ideals of quiet virtue and integrity, to the Victorian reverence for orchids as emblems of luxury and cultivated taste. The Orchid Floriography Seal joins the collection as a limited release of eleven, reserved for the Collectors Register.
