Roughly a decade ago, I stumbled upon what seemed like the job of my dreams.Nestled in Colorado, an online platform dedicated to crafting courses was on the lookout to broaden their Papercraft offerings. My life-long passion for papercrafts, melded with substantial experience in online education, aligned seamlessly with the role's demands. It felt like the universe had conspired to present me with the opportunity I'd long been searching for.
Following an engaging initial interview, I was brimming with excitement for what lay ahead. I eagerly accepted a second interview. However, a nagging silence ensued. Days later, I uncovered my blunder—I had archived my email upon responding, but they had replied right before I had clicked archive.Despite my earnest apology and reaffirmed interest, my attempts to re-establish connection were met with a deafening silence. Further efforts to reach the hiring manager fizzled into nothingness.
Now, with a decade's worth of distance from that professional misstep, my outlook has evolved.Residing in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and flourishing as an artist, I reflect on that episode with a sense of gratitude. If they had really seen my potential, they would have looked over the email mishap. It's as if my unique talent was shielded from those who failed to appreciate its worth, guiding me to where I was destined to be.
The mantra "Never beg for a seat when you can build your own table" resonates profoundly with me. No job working for someone else would have led to the creative freedom and fulfillment of forging my own path, even if it looked like my dream job on paper.
Have you ever felt like an unpolished diamond, your talents not fully acknowledged or valued? Perhaps, it signals that there's an alternate realm where you're meant to flourish.
Seal of the Week - La Dougeur Est Ma Vie
The butterfly's presence evokes the transformative journey from caterpillar to winged beauty—a symbol of growth, change, and the unfolding of dreams. As it tends to the flowers, it becomes a poignant reminder that dreams, like delicate blooms, require nurturing care to fully flourish.
The inscription "La Douceur Est Ma Vie" (your sweetness is my life) adds depth, emphasizing the value of embracing the gentleness and sweetness that life offers. It speaks to the pursuit of a life filled with tender moments, kindness, and the pursuit of dreams that uplift the spirit.
For this design, I've emphasized the artist's skill as gems, which are found when following the sweetness of life.
