Red is the original color of sealing wax. For centuries it marked letters, documents, and decrees that mattered, and it still carries that same sense of occasion today. Our classic red sealing wax is made to hold crisp, fine detail so every seal looks as considered as the letter inside.

It's our go-to for wedding invitations, love letters, and holiday cards. A single red wax seal on a cream envelope is one of the simplest ways to make correspondence feel timeless.

This wax set includes 7 wax seal sticks, that can either be used with a low-temp glue gun or a melting wax spoon.

Each stick is 4" long, and is made of a durable, yet flexible wax that can withstand the mail. To ensure delivery, I always recommend hand cancelling or using an outer envelope.

Q: What does a red wax seal mean?

Historically, red wax signaled importance. It was the traditional color for official letters and documents. Today a red wax seal still says "this matters," which is why it's so popular for love letters, wedding invitations, and special occasions.

Q: Is red sealing wax good for holiday cards?

Yes. Classic red is the most traditional choice for holiday correspondence. Pair it with gold ink, kraft envelopes, or a sprig of greenery for a finished look. If you're mailing your cards, a flexible sealing wax helps the seal survive the trip.
