These are traditional hard sealing waxes, handmade in Gutenberg, Germany, using methods that predate modern correspondence. They carry the qualities that have long defined hard wax, a distinctive sheen, a subtle fragrance, and a firmness that holds its impression beautifully.

Hard wax behaves differently from modern sealing wax. It is more brittle, more textured, and less forgiving. Those qualities are not flaws. They are part of its character. The surface is slightly less smooth in its details, which lends an antique feeling to the finished seal, even when the colors themselves feel fresh and contemporary.
