Kathryn's Personal Favorite for Cutting Sealing Wax

Beautiful tools make even the simplest rituals a pleasure. The Niwaki Kurumi Secateurs are Kathryn's personal favorite for cutting sealing wax, and for good reason.

Expertly crafted in Japan, these exquisite secateurs combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with exceptional precision. Their beautifully sharp blades deliver clean, effortless cuts, making them particularly wonderful for preparing sticks of sealing wax.

Originally designed for delicate pruning, they bring the same remarkable precision to the art of wax sealing. The elegant walnut handles feel wonderful in the hand, while their balanced design makes them as satisfying to use as they are beautiful to behold.

Kathryn has tried many tools for cutting sealing wax, and these are her absolute favorite. They are a perfect example of something we believe deeply at Kathryn Hastings & Co.: the tools we use in our everyday rituals should be as thoughtfully made and beautiful as the things we create.
