Exceptional Japanese Craftsmanship for the Art of Wax Sealing

A beautiful tool can transform even the simplest task into a pleasure. The Niwaki Mainichi Secateurs are a wonderful example of Japanese craftsmanship, combining precision, practicality, and thoughtful design in a tool made to be used and loved every day.

Expertly crafted in Japan, these secateurs feature sharp steel blades that make clean, precise cuts through sticks of sealing wax. Their comfortable, balanced design makes preparing wax for sealing effortless and wonderfully satisfying.

Mainichi means "every day" in Japanese, a fitting name for a tool designed to become an indispensable part of your daily rituals. Whether you are preparing wax for a single handwritten letter or an afternoon of sealing, these secateurs make the process a pleasure.

At Kathryn Hastings & Co., we believe that the tools we use should be as beautiful and thoughtfully made as the things we create. The Mainichi Secateurs embody this philosophy perfectly.
