These past few weeks have been wonderfully full. Most days, I've been at my desk working through the final manuscript with notes from my editor. I've been asking whether each page shares exactly what I intend.
Outside of writing and editing, I've been spending as much time as possible with my family now that the kids are out of school for the summer. We've been taking advantage of these long days together, getting outside on the sailboat, cooking together, and camping. It's been a good reminder that not every hour needs to be productive.
The book has been growing during those moments, too.
One small piece of exciting news: The Handwritten Life is now available for preorder.
Seeing it out in the world still feels a little surreal given how much I have nurtured it alone at home. Thank you to everyone who has already reserved a copy. Your encouragement has carried me through this long process, and I can't wait to finally share it with you!

A Summer Leisure Letter
Find an hour this week to write a letter with nowhere else to be.
Take it outside if you can. Bring a notebook, a fountain pen, and something to drink. Leave your phone behind.
Before you begin, spend five minutes in stillness simply noticing. Listen to the birds. Watch the breeze move through the trees. Notice the warmth of the air.
Then write to someone you care about, simply to share a summer afternoon with them.
I hope this summer leaves you with a collection of moments worth remembering.
