Dear Friends,
As we turn the page on another year, I find myself reflecting on all the incredible milestones, memories, and connections we’ve shared in 2024. These are still the early days for Kathryn Hastings, and every step feels meaningful because of your support, encouragement, and presence in this journey. It’s been a year of big dreams realized and new chapters opened, and I couldn’t be more grateful to share it with you.
Let me take you through some of the highlights of 2024—moments that truly wouldn’t have been possible without you.
Victoria Magazine: A Dream Come True
In January, my work graced the cover of Victoria Magazine—a surreal and humbling moment that began with a magical photoshoot in August 2022. The magazine’s celebration of beauty, leisure, and artistry aligned perfectly with my vision, and seeing my creations reflected through their lens was a true honor.

Later in spring, another dream came to life when Victoria Magazine featured my work on the cover of their new book, The Art of Correspondence. This project reminded me of my long-held aspiration to create a coffee table book of my own someday. For now, seeing my art in print, surrounded by other creators, was immensely fulfilling.

A Magical Retreat in Ireland
This fall, I had the privilege of co-hosting a retreat in Ireland alongside the talented Martha Clarke. Nestled in a serene Inchydoney Lodge and Spa overlooking the ocean, our days were filled with peaceful breakfasts, refreshing ocean plunges, creative afternoons, and many moments of joy and connection.

This retreat embodied everything I dreamed of—traveling, making art, and forming lifelong friendships. What magic!
Next, I’ll be hosting a solo retreat at a Chateau Hotel in the Loire Valley, France in May of 2026. Inspired by the beauty and pace of life in the French countryside, this retreat will offer a perfect balance of leisure and meaningful creativity. We'll do many more cultural excursions, including wine tastings and chateau tours. I've limited the retreat to 11 attendees. I recommend signing up in early 2025, as spaces are limited. It will truly be a lifelong gift you give to yourself.

The Masterclass: Sharing My Craft
In the summer, I launched The Art of Wax Seals Masterclass, a project over a year and a half in the making. This class not only shares the artistic techniques I’ve developed but will soon explore the deeper symbolism and energetic properties of seals. It’s been a joy to make this art form accessible to a global audience while continuing to grow the craft with new techniques, like the soon-to-be-released Magnetic Sealing Wax tutorial.

A Lifelong Dream: The Hastings Étui
And finally, one of my most meaningful accomplishments this year has been the launch of The Kathryn Hastings Étui (aka The Hastings Étui).
